Applicants must hold a primary medical qualification awarded by universities listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools. Obtained a maximum of two years before Plab1 otherwise one can provide proof that he had actively maintained English language skills.
Part 1 There is no limit to the number of times that you may take Part 1, but you must have a valid IELTS report form dated not more than two years before each attempt. Centers are in Islamabad and Karachi. Its time is three-hour. The Examination paper will contain questions divided into a number of themes.

Part 2 One can attempt four times but within three years of Plab1 passing. The validity of Plab is for three years. Part 2 can only be taken in the UK. Plab 2 is an Objective Structured Clinical Examination OSCE which tests communication, history taking, clinical examination, practical skills, and emergency management. You will be given five minutes for each station. In between the stations you will be given one minute. It means during these fives minutes you had to prove your abilities.
The examiner awards a grade between A and E for each objective. A candidate cannot pass if he or she obtains grade E for more than one station. Passing the PLAB test will not guarantee you a job in the UK and you will not be granted limited registration without the offer of a job. Finding a job is your responsibility. Getting a job in UK during these days is the toughest part of the Plab.
