Lesson learned: choosing books is like choosing bras. Go with support, not how they look! Jul 24, Kat rated it it was ok As someone lacking an ample bosom, I completely understand blaming it for things like not being asked on a date or not getting a job or not having a nice hairdo, but then of course I go back to rational thought and know it has little to do with any of those things. The main character of this book is a 30 year old woman who is completely obsessed with the size of her breasts! To the point that you want to smack her. Buy This Book If I admitted it on a message board, I can admit it in a review: I was intrigued by this book because I could just tell that the heroine and I had something in common. I think this is a fun book women of all sizes will enjoy. Emma Taylor is pretty sure her 30th birthday will be the one of her dreams.
She plans an intimate dinner with him and a celebratory party with all her friends later. Now Emma has to attend her birthday party sans boyfriend, go back to her crummy job, and find another place to live. She figures out her relationships with those close to her and develops a career strategy. Not only is Jack handsome and kind, he has an attractive place in Hoboken with room to spare.
Could this be love? What sets it apart is the light humor. What works so well is that her revenge is sly, mature, and completely believable. Everyone tells her to spray paint his car and ruin his designer suits, and though she does give in to the urge to dump his expensive dinner into his lap at when he officially breaks up with her, most of her revenge takes to from of subtle professional sabotage.
Anyone who has ever wished for revenge on a jerk-ex is likely to enjoy it. While this book is certainly romantic and has a happy ending Emma is very much the focus. This is not an especially deep or thought-provoking book, nor is it the type of book that made me sigh in amazement. It is, however, good light-hearted fun.
